Improvement starts with a verified inventory
What the 2025 edition adds
The public brochure highlights the web client, DVM Status, audit investigation and an updated recording engine. Relate those functions to specific operator needs.
What to review in the installed base
The R800 materials describe an earlier release. Record the actual version, cameras and firmware, servers, storage, retention, clients, EBI integration and licences. Do not infer a direct migration path from the family name.
What the plan must protect
Define recording continuity, evidence retention, recoverable backups, permissions, work window, contingency and rollback. The ability to upgrade without uninstalling does not replace that validation.
Which tests support closeout
Agree tests for viewing, recording, playback, searches and authorised export; review communication loss, permissions and included interfaces. Record results and open items with the client.
Initial assessment
Inventory, failure history, versions, licences and backups. Findings ranked by criticality.
Intervention plan
Scope, permissions, responsibilities, operating window and contingency agreed with site operations.
Execution and testing
Work under change control. Verify authorised interfaces against agreed acceptance criteria.
Closeout and follow-up
Evidence, open items and recommendations. Results reviewed with the client.
